This October, Kazerne Reigersbos is bringing Kumasi/Ashanti energy to Amsterdam with APEM NO NIE, a creative gathering and fundraiser.
We invite you to tap into the strength of creative collectives and cultural landmarks from Kumasi and the broader Ashanti Region.
Our mission
Connect with the Ashanti/Kumasi diaspora in the Netherlands tracing pathways back to heritage, history, and the pride of our home city. Through conversation, music, making, and storytelling, we hope to spark new relationships that bridge the communities at home and those who live across oceans.
We aim to foster collaborations, partnerships, and shared growth between Kumasi’s vibrant creative scene and its diaspora, uniting skills, resources, and imagination. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help with the development of a creative centre in Kumasi for the community to access w/ no restrictions.

- DIY screen-printing & upcycling pop-up // tees will be available // you can also bring your own set of clothing to be printed on!
- Limited-edition jersey auction
