​Are you looking for an inspiring and accessible location for creative or educational activities? Check out The Black Archives. The Black Archives is available for rent on Saturdays for initiatives that align with our mission and values. Our unique space offers the perfect setting for reading groups, writing workshops, or other small-scale group gatherings in a calm and pleasant environment. Whether you're hosting a meeting, organizing a book presentation, or running a spoken word session, our space provides an inspiring environment to come together, learn, and create. In some cases, activities can be facilitated free of charge upon agreement.
What do we offer?

• A unique space filled with Black history, art, and heritage to inspire and spark imagination.
• Located in the Amsterdamse Poort, the space is easily accessible by public transport and car.
• Facilities such as tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment (e.g., a screen and sound system) in a room with plenty of natural light.
• An independent setup: renters use the space on their own without support from our team. A museum host will be present for minimal assistance.

What do we ask?

• Rentals are intended for activities that align with the mission and values of The Black Archives. We focus on education, art, and community building.
• Due to the fragile nature of the archive, no food or drinks may be consumed, and risky activities like painting workshops or dinners are not allowed.
• Respect for the space, the archive, and the legacy preserved here.
• The archive remains open to the public, and activities can take place between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Alternative times may be discussed upon agreement. We offer affordable rates for grassroots initiatives.
