The Manifesto of Gisele Sint Jago
Gisele Sint Jago protested against the royal visit to Aruba earlier this year. She interrupted a lecture for the Dutch Royal Family with a protest song about slavery. Jago, a master's student and politician, wrote a manifesto for the king. She emphasized the importance of apologies to the descendants of enslaved people. In the manifesto, Jago also addressed the issue of reparations, aiming to promote economic and social equality and complete Aruba's decolonization process.
